Brothers and Sisters,
We have received notification that the BOP will comply with the preliminary injunction. This means the Master Agreement, along with our Local Supplemental Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding, is to be reinstated effective immediately.
I intend to meet with the executive staff at FMC Devens to address implementation and establish a productive labor-management relationship moving forward. We are prepared to work with management, while holding firm on protecting your rights and ensuring our negotiated agreements are honored.
If you are questioned in a meeting that you reasonably believe could result in disciplinary action, clearly request a union representative. If your request is denied, repeat your request and notify Local 0222 leadership as soon as possible.
Please keep us informed of any workplace issues, concerns, or problems with the restoration of our agreements. We cannot address issues we do not know about.
Local 0222 remains ready to represent you and fight for fair treatment, safe working conditions, and accountability. Thank you to everyone who stood with us throughout this fight. This is a major step forward, but our work continues—and our strength depends on standing together.
In Solidarity,
Michael Guerriero
President, AFGE Local 0222
